Assistance in Applying for Financial Aid

Education often serves as the cornerstone for improving one’s quality of life. Yet, many prospective students feel hindered by financial constraints or are uncertain about how to pursue further education. At ICR Florida Education, we are dedicated to the belief that everyone eager to invest in their future should have access to affordable education.

Financial barriers should not prevent anyone from achieving their dreams. This is why our Financial Aid Office offers personalized assistance to help you navigate your financial options and apply for financial aid.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

At ICR Florida Education, we understand that funding your education is crucial. Our staff is committed to providing you with the necessary support to understand and explore various financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and loans.

AVAILABLE TYPES OF AID

Federal Pell Grant
This grant is a federal student aid program that does not require repayment. Awards are based on enrollment status and financial need. Annual amounts may vary depending on federal allocations.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
This program is intended for students with exceptional financial need, and no repayment is required.

Federal Subsidized Direct Loan
Part of a program that offers low-interest loans based on need to students enrolled at ICR Florida Education at least half-time. This loan requires repayment. The government covers the interest while the student is enrolled at least half-time and for six months after completing their studies.

Federal Unsubsidized Direct Loan
Part of a program that provides low-interest loans to qualified students enrolled at ICR Florida Education at least half-time. This loan also requires repayment. Unlike subsidized loans, the student is responsible for paying the interest while in school, although these payments can be deferred until after graduation.

Federal Direct PLUS Loans for Parents of Undergraduate Students
These low-interest loans are available to parents of dependent students to cover educational expenses. They require repayment, including both principal and interest, starting 60 days after the final disbursement.

Veterans Affairs (VA) Training
Students at ICR Florida Education receiving VA educational benefits must adhere to all institute policies and procedures, including those outlined in the school catalog. VA-approved students who do not pass any satisfactory academic progress probation period or accumulate more than 10 consecutive unexcused absences will have their VA educational benefits terminated.
For students under the Post 9/11 GI Bill® (Ch 33) and VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Ch 31), our tuition policy complies with 38 USC 3679(e), ensuring that these students are not penalized for delays in VA tuition and fee payments. To be considered eligible, a Post 9/11 GI Bill student must submit a VA Certificate of Eligibility (COE), and a Vocational Rehabilitation student must provide a VAF 28-1905 form. Other Sources of Funding
Our Financial Aid Office is available to assist students in exploring alternative sources of funding for their education.

Institutional Loan
The ICR Florida Education Loan Program is available to students. To be eligible, students must maintain continuous and full-time enrollment. Students approved for this type of loan must maintain a current payment status.

High School Student Scholarship

The ICR Florida Education High School Scholarship is available to high school seniors interested in continuing their education at ICR Florida Education.
You may qualify for one of four (4) scholarships (2 in the winter and 2 in the fall) awarded to career-focused and success-driven high school seniors. These scholarships are valued at $2,500 each and must be used towards tuition costs at ICR Florida Education. The awards include:
To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a high school senior graduating in June of the current year.
  • Be interested in attending ICR Florida Education after high school graduation.
  • Show academic progress towards graduation.
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher while attending ICR Florida Education.
  • Complete all necessary entrance and enrollment requirements at ICR Florida Education.

Application and Selection Process:

  • Submit the complete scholarship application online by January 15 or May 15 of each year.
  • Submit a 500-word essay describing your career aspirations and why you chose ICR Florida Education to achieve your career goals.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a school or work reference (e.g., teacher, coach, manager, counselor).
  • Submit one letter of recommendation from a relative (e.g., parent, guardian, sibling, grandparent, aunt/uncle, etc.).
  • All completed applications will be reviewed after the January 15 or May 15 deadline by the ICR Florida Education Scholarship Committee to determine the recipients.
