What you will do in the program
Hands-on training with faculty support and externship.
Personal care and grooming
Hygiene, bed/chair bathing, skin care, and dressing, always preserving dignity.
Nutrition and hydration
Simple food preparation, indicated diets, assistance with eating, and care against choking risk
Mobility and safety
Transfers bed–chair, use of walker, position changes and prevention of falls/ulcers.
Basic vital signs
Temperature, pulse and respiration; observation of changes and timely reporting to the team.
Alzheimer’s and communication
Redirection techniques, safe routines, behavior management, empathy and basic documentation.
